I apologize for the very long hiatus. It has been an extremely busy month and a half with very little downtime (and therefore even less time to blog).
In other news, I have started another blog: Blank Cheque. It is on Tumblr and will focus on photography only. Mainly, it will allow me to go thru my photo archives and display some of my work instead of just having them hide in storage. It is not perfect though. The theme that I’m using for Blank Cheque is good for showcasing landscape-oriented photography. It isn’t that good for showing vertical photography (see above for example of a photo that wouldn’t work). The layout is similar to a slideshow. The thing I like best is that it shows the photo in as large a format possible without having to worry about the viewer’s screen resolution.
And I won’t be stopping my blog here. This one will still feature photography from time to time, but will also allow me to discuss topics that are important/interesting to me. This blog has always been intended as a personal journal of sorts.
The photo above was taken at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. The title of the post refers to the no photography policy at the museum. I also feel the word forbidden has a sexual connotation to it (i.e. forbidden fruit sort of thing) and instead used the German word. I snuck the photo of the window looking over at Columbus Circle. I was caught doing it and admonished by one of the guards. I thought the policy only extended to the exhibits (seemed reasonable enough to me), but was informed that it applied to any photography on the premises.
